Qualifications for appearing in CHO/ MLPH –
Following will be the eligibility criteria for appearing in CHO/ MLPA examination-2024:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Essential Educational Qualifications:
- The educational qualification for the post of Mid Level Health Provider/ Carumunity Health Officer is as follows.
B.Sc Nursing (with integrated CPHC Curriculum)
or
Post Basic BS- C Nursing (with integrated CPHC Curriculum)
A Nurse (B.Sc Nursing/Post basic B.Sc Nursing/GNM) with a certificate course in Community Health From IGNOU/State Publice Health/State Medical University.
(2) Candidates passed from all nursing colleges (public, private and AIIMS Rishikesh) of Uttarakhand state who meet the above educational qualification will be eligible for the post of Mid Level Health Provider/ Community Health Officer.
(3) Apart from the above, such candidates who are natives of Uttarakhand. But after passing from other states, Patyan will be eligible for the post of Mid Level Health Provider/ Community Health Officer.
Age Limit –
- Age should be minimum 21 years and not more than 42 years as on 01.07.2023, the final date for age calculation for CH70/ MLPH posts.
- Provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and such other categories of the State of Uttarakhand as may be notified by the Government from time to time, the upper age limit will be higher by such number of years as may be specified.
Syllabus and selection process for written examination:-
- CHO/ MLPH Written Examination-2024 Written entrance examination will be conducted as per the standards set by the Indian Nursing Council (I.N.C.). The exam time has been fixed for 02 hours.
- Question papers of all subjects will be objective type. The question paper will have 100 multiple choice (a,b,c,d) questions with only one appropriate option. Each correct answer will get one mark and if no answer is given, selecting multiple options together will get zero marks.
- Candidates will be allowed to take the question paper after the examination.
, The examination schedule is unchanged, even if the above date is declared a public holiday.
- It is prohibited to bring calculator, log table or any kind of communication device (cellular/ mobile phone etc.) to the examination venue.
- All candidates must take their seats 45 minutes before the scheduled time of the examination so that they can fill the necessary information in the answer sheet before the start of the question paper.
- The paper seal on the question paper should be broken only when announced by the room invigilator.
- Filling more than one circle while answering any question will be considered as a wrong answer.

The answer sheet of the written examination will be in duplicate along with the carbon copy and the candidate will be allowed to take the duplicate copy with him.
